August 2023 - July 2025
Returning to King Art I joined the Level Design Team, working on a currently unannounced RTS. My main responsibility was the planning and creation of 19 campaign maps on 4 Battlefields, as well
as taking over the maintenance and balancing of 3 maps from a colleague.
My other major responsibilities included cooperation with the Coding Department to implement an AI for campaign Maps and refined the tools necessary to script it. The creation and maintenance of
communication Channels with the QA department and the creation of scenes for marketing material were also part of my responsibilities. Furthermore I did preliminary research and testing for a
planned Game Mode, as well as research and testing of concepts for Multiplayer maps.
QA Testing of my own and other maps was also part of my responsibilities and lastly I joined the Workflow and Pipeline Taskforce, helping with the research necessary to improve King Arts
Documentation workflows.

Game Designer
June 2021 - May 2022
My work with Super Crowd was split into two main parts. My work for the Game Design Department and my work for the Level Design Department.
I worked on two major Digital Conventions with the Game Design Department, the MAG 2021 and the HGC 2022. From the first conception to the final realisation, I followed both, creating and
implementing features. Furthermore, I worked on the Game Design of 2 not yet published projects, one through the entire creation and the other in the brainstorming to define the product.
I also created and maintained Knowledgebases and Prefabs for various mechanics in this capacity.
In the Level Design Department, I was mainly assisting in other projects, creating single worlds for the Dreamhack Beyond 2021, the HGC 2022 and the MAG 2021, and the Gründersafari of the
University Erfurt. I also worked on another project, which got sadly scrapped during the reorganisation of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport after the 2021 election. Here I designed
four worlds and personally built two of them as well as supervising the Level Designer who created the other two.

Level Design Intern
June 2020 - October 2020
As an Intern by King Art Games, I quickly got the task to take a map with an existing layout and develop it into a fully realized map. The desired end-state was a wave-defence map where the enemy
would attack in different patterns from various sides. To accomplish this, I had complete control over scripting and balancing and was allowed to make minor changes to the layout. Furthermore,
with the permission of my lead and in cooperation with King Art Games' narrative designer, I also took control of the narrative side of the map, creating a simple story and appropriate
dialogues.
After the map was successfully published, I got the task of brainstorming various other ideas for similar maps. After one of the maps was chosen, I got to design it from blockout to release. I
was again allowed to develop the narrative and write the dialogues in cooperation with the narrative designer. During my entire time with King Art Games, my duties also included playtesting and
minor bugfixes and scripting updates on other maps.
Both King Art Games and myself considered the internship a success and agreed for me to continue working as a student employee for the duration of my studies.
Level Design Student Employee
November 2020 - March 2021
As a Student Employee for King Art Games, my hours were reduced to 11h a week. Again I was assigned a new map, which I got to shape from brainstorming to the artpass. Furthermore, I had to rebalance and rework one of my previous maps after community feedback. This allowed me an excellent opportunity to learn from previous mistakes and correct them.
Responsibilities
- Blockout/Layout
- Scripting
- Balancing
- Playtesting
- Reworking Maps
